Swindon's Mike Sly will be following in the perfick footsteps of David Jason's TV interpretation of Pa Larkin, in the Darling Buds of May, from Wednesday April 23 to Saturday April 26. The Phoenix Players are presenting the drama based on the H E Bates novel at Swindon's Arts Centre, Devizes Road, in Old Town. The TV series launched the career of former Tanwood School of Dance pupil, Catherine Zeta Joes. This time it is Gemma Short who plays Mariette and SALOS veteran James Canning joins the 16-strong cast as Charlie. Tickets are £6 from 01793 525616. |
